WiTEC association
The Austrian WiTEC association was founded in April 2004 by Technikon working in cooperation with successful female entrepreneurs. The core group of the Austrian WiTEC association consists of companies and public institutions. The members of this association support women who want to have better access to careers and knowledge exchange in the fields of IT and electronics.
To fully take advantage of WiTEC, it is important to link the WiTEC office activitites to the activities and ideas of other complementary support programmes. We create synergies by cooperating with national programmes, such as FIT-IT and FEMtech, as well as with similar networks on a European level. WiTEC Austria also provides a platform for international lobbying activities and benchmarking projects.
